TAPAS (Youth Group)

All of us, who have given our lives into Jesus hands, have the commission to go and tell the good news that He has given us.  If you had learned of a cure for the common cold wouldn't you want to share it with others?  How much more then when we have the answer to slavery to sin, sickness and death.  "Start!" is an opportunity to explore for ourselves and share with others.

"Start!"  Is a six-session basic introduction to the Christian faith for small groups.  It is designed to help people:

  • Think through where they are in their lives
  • Learn to ask questions about the Christian faith
  • Discover the good news of Jesus
  • Consider how they want to respond to the good news, and to Jesus.

The sessions assume no previous knowledge of anything Christian.  They use a mix of DVD input, time to chat, simple discussion activities and space for reflection, all in a style which is down to earth and honest, and which aims to be enjoyable too.

We have run two courses so far.  The first was for members of the church who wanted to do the course.  The second was for those not necessarily familiar with Christianity or with church.
